The Boulonnais

The bolt comes from northern France, the party pit boulonnaise, near the department of Pas de Calais. This race is special because it was split into two functions depending on the size, morphology and sex of the horses. Indeed Boulogne can be large and powerful perfectly suited to the work force but he also received a lot of Arab blood by crosses that have also given lighter horses called to other duties. Mares boulonnaises transported from the Middle Ages the fish from the shores of the region of Boulogne to Paris relay 25 km from up to 50 km.
